    Yuhsuke yokoi exhibition

SEPTEMBER,2011 The art exhibit at Art House in Iida City Nagano Prefecture consisted of the works of 4 artists−Yamafuku Akemi (picture book author), Mizushima Zenbe (woodcrafter), Mizushima Hiromi (picture book author), and myself. In the latter half of the exhibition period, we had puppet shows and or live music every night. I got the chance to sing with Nakano Tokuo, my long-time friend, who I even recorded a record together with way back when. It was the first time singing together in 40 years, and I really sang my heart out (although the singing was not-so-great on my part!). Mizushima Zenbe also collaborated with us on harmonica.

Flier is here

This exhibition was bountiful with new works. Many people were attracted to these works and the satisfaction brought about by the exhibition made it a first step toward future collaborations. Next year we are planning to have many more exhibitions like this one. I hope to see all of you there.
